KJJP-FM 105.7 FM serving Amarillo/Canyon and the central Texas Panhandle will be off the air on Monday from about 7am until 3pm. This shutdown is required while repairs are made to guy wires on the Channel 10 tower used by KJJP. During this outage you can continue listening to HPPR via its digital streams (see the player above) or through the HPPR mobile app.

Watkins Family Hour is CD of the Week on High Plains Morning

Sean and Sara Watkins from Nickel Creek, Sebastian Steinberg from Soul Coughing, Benmont Tench from Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers, Don Heffington and Greg Liesz from everywhere and Fiona Apple-that is the cast of Watkins Family Hour.  Recorded in 3 days, this all-covers record displays the immense talent collected here in this croup of people that originally came together over the last couple of years at a monthly jam session at Largo in Los Angeles.  Tune in this week to High Plains Morning to hear every track from Watkins Family Hour.

Mike Fuller remains our station's favorite prodigal son. Former Music Director of High Plains Public Radio, and host of High Plains Morning (2010-2015), he has returned to HPPR with a new show called What The Folk?—a signature mix of folk, roots, Americana, and more—woven together by a unifying theme. Tune in every Saturday night at 7pm CT for a two-hour mix that could only come from the man himself.
