KZNA-FM 90.5 serving northwest Kansas is operating at just 10% power using a back up transmitter while work continues to install a new transmitter. It is hoped that this work will completed on Thursday with KZNA back to its full 100,000 watts of power with a state of the art transmitter to serve the area for many years to come.
If you can't receive KZNA at its reduced power, you can listen via the digital stream directly above or on the HPPR mobile app. For questions please contact station staff at (800) 678-7444 or by emailing hppr@hppr.org

Free PBS Kids channel now airing in Texas panhandle

NPR

Texas Panhandle PBS audiences can now get the 24-7 PBS Kids channel on air and online.

As the Canadian Record reports, the free service features educational programming 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ensuring that the high-quality content is available to all children and caregivers on a platform and at a time that works for them.

The channel includes 21 PBS Kids series including Arthur, Bob the Builder, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Cyberchase, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, Dinosaur Train, Nature Cat, Odd Squad, Peg + Cat, Sesame Street, Sid the Science Kid, Splash and Bubbles, Thomas & Friends, Wordgirl and Wordworld.

The channel, which replaces V’Me, can be viewed over the air on channel 2.2 and on Suddenlink channel 126 beginning April 1. The channel will also be available as a live stream at pbskids.org and on the free PBS Kids Video App for mobile and tablets.

Panhandle PBS will continue to feature daily children’s programming on its primary PBS channel with different options than the 24-7 channel.
