KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

STEAM Teacher Co-Leads Discussion

Jessica Sadler has taught third, fifth, and sixth grades in Lawrence and Olathe Kansas, holding bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education and special education. A STEAM facilitator with an ESL endorsement, Jessica has won numerous teaching awards, including being named a Kansas Asia Scholar. She has served as a volleyball coach and was nominated as Kansas Teacher of the Year in 2019-20.  What her awards do not highlight is the fact that Jessica is an avid and enthusiastic reader looking forward to discussing Neither Wolf Nor Dog with her friend Freddy Gipp, co-leader for a work articulating the world view and life lessons bequeathed by an Indian elder.

Kathleen Holt has served High Plains Public Radio—in one way or another—since its inception in 1979. She coordinates the HPPR Radio Readers Book Club.
