J.D. And The All Groove Band will be playing live music concert at the outpost at Cheney lake near the dam on November 1st, 2025. At 8pm we take the stage to play your favorite dance tunes form the 1950's-1990's. In addition, our drummer Sammy Walker will be celebrating his birthday, so come on out and enjoy the evening with us!

Award winning singer/songwriter Martin Gilmore returns to HPPR for a solo concert!
Martin Gilmore is a Denver-based songwriter, guitarist, and educator whose music blends folk, bluegrass, and Americana traditions. He is the 2024 Telluride Troubadour winner, 2024 Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Songwriter Showcase winner, and a 2025 Kerrville New Folk winner. Martin tours nationally and teaches at Swallow Hill Music Association and the University of Northern Colorado.

Vendors offering gem and mineral products, rough gems, raw mineral specimens, crystals, fossils, fine jewelry, lapidary, educational demos, flint napping, exhibits, kids area, raffles, door prizes and silent auctions and more.Hosted by Golden Spread Gem, Mineral & Treasure Society. We are a non profit club that focuses on recovering gold, gems, minerals, relics, coins, and otherinteresting or valuable items from the past and preserving history.
Joel Alden White and friends perform Cowboy music and Poetry to raise funds for the Panhandle Cowboy Poetry Association Scholarship funds. 100% of all donations go into the college scholarship program. Food trucks available at the show.

Amarillo Public Library’s SocialRx program is a great opportunity for area residents looking to expand their horizons and their circle of friends.
The program is designed to introduce people to engaging opportunities available in our community. Each month, community organizations offer information about classes, volunteer opportunities, and clubs so interested individuals can explore the options.
At the September 11th, 2024 meeting:
--The Amarillo Chapter of the League of Women Voters will provide information on LWV membership, fellowship, and volunteer opportunities.--ACTS Community will give us the scoop on the Senior Center and volunteer options.--Amarillo Animal Management and Welfare will explain about ways to get involved in helping pets reunite with their people or find forever homes.
