Chase the Sunset: Art & Music in Palo Duro Canyon

***But if you would like to volunteer, donate, or help out with this event in any way, contact Jenny ASAP at jinzerillo@hppr.org. We're going to have a blast!

On Saturday, August 13th, High Plains Public Radio & the Amarillo Art Institute invite kids of the High Plains to CHASE THE SUNSET with a celebration of art, music, and nature to bid the summer a final farewell.

From 6pm to 9:45pm, kids can enjoy a variety of fun activities to spark their creativity and curiosity, including presentations from Panhandle Plains Historical Museum and Palo Duro Canyon State Park, a nature walk through the canyon, landscape painting, pinch pot ceramics, outdoor collage art, a 15-foot mural, nature trivia, pastel drawing, and so much more!

At sunset, we’ll get down to live acoustic guitar music, welcoming the moon and stars. Plus, we’ll have snacks, drinks, prizes, games, books, and more!

Come to the Palo Duro Canyon and bid the summer farewell! CHASE THE SUNSET with HPPR & AAI.

****SPACE IS LIMITED, and reservations are required for attendance. Contact HPPR’s Music Director Jenny Inzerillo for more info or to register: jinzerillo@hppr.org or 806.367.9088.
