KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Painting A World With Public Radio: Support HPPR & Get an Amazing Work Of Art

Mick Jilg, a local artist and retired Professor of Art at Fort Hays State University, has contributed 25 paintings valued at $6,000 to High Plains Public Radio. You can claim one of these 9.5-inch by 9.5-inch framed paintings with a contribution of at least $240. [See the slideshow above.]

The works of art are on display at our Garden City studios (210 N. 7th St.) through August.

Jilg says, "It is my hope that the exhibition will result in sales that can be used to fund the programing that I rely on."

Interested? Email us at vsmith@hppr.org to make your contribution. Please remember to list the name and number of the painting you desire.
