Amarillo Symphony returns to HPPR July 6

A brand new season of performances from the Amarillo Symphony premieres on HPPR this Sunday.

The season begins Sunday, July 6 at noon with a performance of Velocity Festivals by Paul Dooley, a work commissioned for the opening to the symphony's 2013-14 concert season. Hear commentary from the Amarillo Symphony's 17th musical director Jacomo Rafael Bairos, who began his debut season with the symphony with this performance. Also hear the Symphony No. 8 of Antonín Dvo?ák.Amarillo Symphony Presents is an annual series on HPPR presenting live recordings of performances by the Amarillo Symphony at the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts in Amarillo. This year's broadcast season extends through September.
