It's Been Lit: Center City's Electric Light Parade 2019

Thanks so much to Beth Duke for stopping by High Plains Morning to remind folks about a holiday tradition. Amarillo’s Electric Light Parade is how Center City welcomes the holidays: with a lighted parade rolling through downtown Amarillo. It took place on Friday, December 6th with an unprecedented crowd and list of participants. This year's theme will be "March of the Toys". The parade ends at Centennial Plaza on the ground of the Amarillo Civic Center for the lighting of the city of Amarillo Christmas Tree, music, food vendors and free visits with Santa & Mrs. Claus.  If you would like to be added to Center City's mailing list, please call Chanette at Center City 806-372-6744.

Hear our full interview about the parade, and view the photos of the float that won for the Non-Profit Category: the Amarillo Art Institute. Happy holidays!
