Join us for the opening of the Catrina Dress Exhibit at Arts in the Sunset at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4.

This FREE exhibition brings together a collection of Catrina dresses and costumes from the Adult and Kids Catrina Costume Contests featured during the past three years of the Día de Muertos Festival of Amarillo.

See up close the creativity, craftsmanship, and tradition behind some of the Catrinas that have taken the stage at the festival, from elaborate adult designs to imaginative creations worn by our youngest Catrinas.

The exhibit opens Friday, September 4 and will remain on display through Friday, October 9.

Come celebrate the artistry of La Catrina and revisit three years of Día de Muertos Festival memories.

Kick off United Way of Dodge City’s 2026-2027 campaign with us, then stick around to watch the Dodge City Red Demons as they take on the Great Bend Panthers on Senior Night, Friday, Oct. 2!

Join us for an evening of community, food and football! Enjoy a hotdog, chips and a drink on us.

Tailgating starts at 5:45 p.m. and the game will kick off at 7 p.m.

This year United Way of Dodge City is celebrating 80 years of living united in the southwest Kansas community. Free-will donations welcome.

Choose your own adventure Saturday, Oct. 3 with a sample of small-town Concordia, Kan. More than 30 activities, services, tours and workshops are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to give you a little taste of everything.

Purchase a quilt from the Sisters of St. Joseph at Manna House of Prayer; visit the National Orphan Train Complex; learn about the ghostly presences at Brown Grand Theatre; enjoy Bobbi and Dot's chili + cinnamon rolls; and learn about Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (drones) at Cloud County Community College.

Visitors to this FREE event are encouraged to bring a new toy for the Toy Drive and Toy Run hosted by a local motorcycle club.

This Big Kansas Road Trip was organized by the Kansas Explorers Club and the Kansas Sampler Foundation.

The Kansas Sampler Foundation, a non-profit organization, coordinated this Big Kansas Road Trip event.

Book lovers and bargain hunters are sure to be delighted by the twice monthly Friends of the Library book sale at the Dodge City Public Library on the first Saturday and third Thursday of the month.

Come and find some new-to-you books!

(Books are also available for sale during regular library hours in the Book Nook located on the main floor.)

Oktoberfest is fun for the whole family, with a beer garden, bierocks, kids’ games and more! The handmade arts and crafts show is always a big draw.

Leave the kids at home and "Live in the Moment" at this event, which aims to educate Hispanic women in our community about the significance of breast cancer awareness, self-examinations and annual mammograms.

Dia de la Mujer, or Women's Day Out, features live music, entertainment and most importantly, lectures from two renowned Hispanic motivational speakers from the medical world.

We believe that with your generous support, this event will significantly contribute to our mission and goals, making a meaningful difference in our community's health and unity. "Between the Sheets" — Genealogy Club. Open to all who want to learn about family research; genealogy. There will be a formal program each month based on the interests of participants. Starting February 2026, this club will meet on the first Saturday of each month from 2–4PM at the Prairie Museum Library.

Goth Prom presents the 4th annual Bizarre Bazaar - Amarillo's original spooky market with 70 + local vendors and food trucks, handmade goods, curiosities, and exceptional oddities!

Come out and meet the beneficiary of goth prom 2027, Amarillo Street Medics. They'll be serving popcorn from the trolley for in-kind donations.

This free event is for all ages.

Goth Prom, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, will be selling advance tickets for Goth prom 2027: Last Rites, which will take place Feb. 13.

No clown costumes or makeup will be permitted into this event by security.
