KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at 15% of power, limiting its signal strength and range in the Amarillo-Canyon area. This due to complicated problems with its very old transmitter. Local engineers are continuing to work on the transmitter and are consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. High Plains Outdoors: Smokin’ Venison Chili

The weather is perfect for a steaming bowl of venison chili topped with some shredded cheese and crackers. Luke used his Smoking Tex electric smoker to slow cook this pot of chili.

Join Luke this week on the porch of his hunting cabin as he discusses making a tasty Dutch Kettle full of Chili, made from mule deer steak off of a fine buck he harvested up in Northern Colorado a couple of weeks ago, while hunting with his friends David and Regina Williams and Terry Tate.

Great tasting venison can be made from just about any type game meat, everything from wild hog to elk and just about everything in between!
