The public is invited to a FREE celebration of recovery from drug and alcohol dependence Saturday, Oct. 10 at New Chance, Inc.

This annual Break the Cycle event has a Death to Dawn theme and begins at 3 p.m. with games and activities for the whole family, including a bouncy house, ring toss and face painting.
Special guest speakers will share their stories at 4 and 5:30 p.m.
A free meal and dinner will be served at 5 p.m.
A raffle/auction will be from 6:30 to 7 p.m.

New Chance, Inc., is a non-profit organization that has been helping folks recover from addition for more than 50 years.

There will be live demonstrations of glassblowing, torch working, raku firings, aluminum casting, and fire art.

The Amarillo College Fire Academy will be joining us for some very large demonstrations! This will be the best year yet, and you don’t want to miss it.

St. Luke Presbyterian Church and Amarillo United Methodist Church are hosting Dr. Ruben Habito, Professor Emeritus of World Religions and Spirituality, Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University.

We offer three sessions beginning at 6:30 on Friday evening, and 10 am on Saturday morning and 1pm on Saturday afternoon. Dr. Habito will be the preacher in a combined worship service of both congregations at 11 am on Sunday morning.

Amarillo Opera's upcoming production is a comedic operetta called The Pirates of Penzance. This is a family-friendly production, so, we encourage the Amarillo community to join us and bring their best pirate attitude.
